In his abstract paintings, the artist frees himself from the limits imposed by drawing. It seems as if Clément Billières is breaking gems to see what is happening inside. In fact, one of his paintings is precisely entitled "The Birth of Flint". Is he remaking the world? His revelations evoke a matter in motion where the sky is not yet the sky and the earth is not yet the earth. It is as if he were talking to us about the transformation of matter. His painting resolutely takes on a triple character, at once geological, atmospheric and igneous. Clément Billières shows us the world of fluids, atmospheric phenomena, igneous landscapes, air and mist.

Art critic and authorWhen such a symbiosis is established between the gaze and the canvas, it is not the result of chance but of a revelation to which is linked a constant alienation of pictorial expression. Thus this renowned artist, Clément Billières, testifies through an important work of his feelings, his sensitivity, his enthusiasm, his emotions, sometimes his nostalgia, in a word, the exaltations of life corresponding to the very essences of the themes decided by the artist. To know the man is already to grasp his paintings. Like a breath of life, the brush inexorably expresses the deep and attentive soul of the painter. It is not illogical to discover a dreamlike relationship in the paintings of Clément Billières, the feelings are so powerful and strong, that they communicate the scenes, events or situations envisaged by the artist.

Art CriticsIt was at the time of the award of the Palme d'Or des Beaux Arts of the International Arts Guild that we truly discovered this artist, modest and not inclined to sacrifice himself to the flashy customs of advertising applied to the visual arts. Clement Billieres works alone and appreciates calm, having traveled a lot. We understand, when we see his recent compositions, that Clément Billieres can indeed enjoy himself when he paints. We feel the joy that presided over the search for harmony, the fervor with which the painter entrusted his work with the mission of conveying his most generous aspirations to the public. This colorist, whose lyricism is the reflection of a balanced thinker's soul, has not finished making people talk about him!

Author "Cent Signatures"Clément Billières has the sensitivity of reserved men. No need for verbal exuberance to display his moods! He leaves it to his audience to interpret them. His harmonies express an inner lyricism that bursts forth in color.
